Servicios Educativos

Community Council Learning Academy (CCLA) provides specialized educational programs for children and youth ages 5–21 who face educational or behavioral challenges. Our alternative special education setting (ASES) works closely with school districts and charter schools to provide therapeutic interventions that support students’ academic and emotional growth without disrupting their education. Each student has an individualized education plan (IEP) tailored to their unique needs, with the majority of students receiving an emotionally disturbed diagnosis.

Our Emotional Support (ES) classrooms focus on fostering a safe, supportive learning environment where students can develop strengths, build confidence, and become lifelong learners. Through research-based approaches such as the RE-ED philosophy and the Circle of Courage, our dedicated staff guide students in restructuring academic and emotional challenges, promoting positive interactions with peers and the wider community, and preparing them to thrive in school and beyond.

Gina Sweet-Comrie ha dedicado más de 18 años a trabajar con estudiantes de educación especial que residen en Filadelfia y los condados circundantes. Su experiencia incluye la personalización de programas de educación especial, particularmente para estudiantes con graves trastornos emocionales. La Sra. Sweet-Comrie ofrece una comprensión profunda de cómo las prácticas restaurativas pueden implementarse de manera efectiva en el salón de clases, especialmente con personas que tienen una historia traumática.  Educación puente, atención informada sobre prácticas restaurativas es la piedra angular de nuestra misión colectiva.
